Duchesne County will host its second annual A Light to Remember on International Overdose Awareness Day, August 31, 2023. These events seek to increase awareness about substance-related overdose, support people in recovery, provide education and support, and remember loved ones that we have lost. Participants will:
- Have the opportunity to share a name/photo on the Memory Wall and light a luminary for recovery and healing.
- Receive free naloxone and a community resource bag, filled with items generously donated by local businesses and organizations.
- Share a moment of silence and view lighted luminaries.
- Receive a food voucher to enjoy dinner on-site (first 100 participants).
All community members are invited. Admission is free. The experience of remembering and honoring is priceless.
