Sevier County is honored to join A Light to Remember in recognition of International Overdose Awareness Day, August 31, 2023. These events seek to increase awareness about substance-related overdose, support people in recovery, provide education and support, and remember loved ones that we have lost. Participants will:
- Have the opportunity to share a name/photo on the Memory Wall and light a luminary for recovery and healing.
- Receive free naloxone training, naloxone kit, and community resources.
- Dedicate a luminary in honor of a loved one lost, and share a moment of silence in their memory.
- Enjoy live music and a light dinner.
All community members are invited. Admission is free. The experience of remembering and honoring is priceless.
